Athletic Training Center

Our athletic development programs focus on meeting the physical goals of each athlete. We accomplish this by utilizing the comprehensive screening to evaluate an athletes strong and weak muscle areas which aids in developing a customized sports conditioning program designed by our qualified strength and conditioning trainers at the Athletic Training Center. Our training staff not only focuses on making our athletes stronger but also analyzes weak links in the body to enhance performance and reduce the risk of injuries.

 

Strength conditioning and performance enhancement sessions at the Athletic Training Center generally consists of one on one 90 minute sessions. The first half of the session includes myofascial release or soft tissue work to reduce muscle stiffness, movement preparation, neural activation, dynamic warm ups, corrective exercises, and biomechanical drills to initiate movement efficiency and patterns. The remaining half of the session focuses more on floor exercises, machine based weight training, plyometric exercise, and functional strength training.
